    Help.

Anyone know how to fix a pc that switches on but does not give a video signal or power to usb after I accidentally hit the kill switch? Tried restarting and general removal all cables but still does nothing

      g’day Ted,

do you still get the normal one beep during the POST cycle?
power and HDD LEDs coming on?
have you tried removing the RAM and video card, cleaning the contacts on the components and on the mobo?
and in case it sheds further light, what was the reason for hitting the kill switch?

No beeping, disk drive still opens, lights are on, and I really didn’t mean to hit kill switch

Is this a desktop or laptop?
          Make and model?
Does anything come up on the screen when you turn on the system?
Are you using a separate video card if yes remove it and plug into the on-board if there is one and what happens then?
          What operating system and version?
Have you unplugged the power (and battery if laptop) and pressed the power button for thirty to sixty seconds to discharge it?
Then reconnect the power and see if it does any better.
You stated the lights come on what color is the power and is it flashing and what sequence?
