    UPGRADING RAM

I need some help with my pc guys so I want to upgrade my ram I currently have g.skill 2x2gb ram in it and I brought two g.skill 2x4gb rams for it to make a total of 12gb ram when I have the 2x2gb ram in it by themselves the computer runs fine but when I put the 2x4gb in as well the pc crashes and I get a blue screen with an error code saying memory management? Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

the two sets of RAM are not compatible.
does the PC start with the old set removed and the new set installed?
what are the make/model/hertz/latency of all memory modules?

Hi BRQWNY. Try removing the old memory modules and install the new RAM sticks in the same slots as the old modules and see if the computer boots up successfully.

Did you make sure that the new RAM is compatible with your motherboard? What motherboard and RAM do you have?
