Memory usage problem on gigabyte 945gcm-s2l

Hi. Recently i upgraded my ram memory. I had a 1 GB ram in 2 slots. Then I bought 2 GB of RAM and replaced 1 GB and then i had 3 GB. Then I added 2 GB to maximum 4 as the motherboard could support, but then there was a problem in the sense that I only had 3.25 usable. Its also important to say that when i have 3 gb installed its on full usage

    Hello

Is this a 32 bit system? If so,the 3.25 usable is what it will show. I am not sure why it would show 3 gigs of ram when you only had that. The OS keeps that .75 of ram for itself. BTW this also does this in a 64 bit system as well.

No,the OS stil does the same thing.. If you want more ram you will have to upgrade to a higher ram,or what ever you MB dictates.
