Which graphics card should I buy?

I’m talking very, very, very low-end. I have a 240 watt power supply on my computer, and I can’t replace it or get a new one. I can’t. As in, I can’t, please don’t reply if you’re just going to tell me to get a new computer. I tried looking up online for video cards that will work on my computer, but everyone suggests these video cards that have a minimum required power of 300 watts. They say it’s okay because the card itself doesn’t take 300 watts, but I’ve already tried this with the Radeon HD 6450, and it did not run on my computer at all (which is an HP Compaq Elite 8100 Small Form Factor. Running Windows 7 home premium.)
Are there any graphics cards out there that I can get for my computer? I really just want to play low-end games like TF2.

    Hello

At 240 watts this may be a challenge and low profile to boot .. Please run this on your pc… Team Fortress 2 system requirements | Can I Run Team Fortress 2

It may help to give an idea what you may need.

I can’t find anything that will run on my 240 watt psu.
Is it possible to upgrade my PSU? I imagine it would be hard, since my computer is a low-profile small form factor

You could run an external PSU with an adaptor.
So you have 2 psu’s running.
Then you can run any card, you wish.
Not a pretty picture, but would fix your needs.

Hi Whatmustido. If your HP Small Form Factor PC is using a TFX PSU then you could replace it with this unit, SeaSonic SS-300TGW 300W TFX12V (v2.31) 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply.

If you are on a very tight budget and you do not want to upgrade the power supply then the absolute lowest performing video card that I would go with would be this one, XFX AMD Radeon HD 5450 2GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card ON-XFX1-DLX2.

IMO I would replace the PSU with the Seasonic unit assuming the HP power supply is a TFX unit and use the AMD Radeon HD 6450 that you already have. If you are not sure what type of power supply you have, take a picture of the power supply label and post the picture in your next reply.

I think I’ll just save up money to get a better computer, but thank you everyone for your help.
