I don't know which GPU to buy, please help

I saw a video on youtube, and the guy just put the SSD in, changed a thing in the BIOS some four letter data type I think, then made his CD drive boot first as it had the Windows CD in there, then windows installed on his SSD.

I’ve decided. I’m getting a Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5" SSD.

Here’s a stupid question. Can I use both AMD and Nvidia Graphics cards, or one of them?
Here are my PC’s full details.

I’d like to get a card that has the same performance or slightly better than a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, but I don’t know how much memory I need on the GPU..?

Another question: can I replace my RAM or can I just add one more?

Sorry ShadowWarrior17 but I am getting a bit dizzy here, ask as many questions as you need to but so much information and suggestions have been offered by ourselves but without you telling us whether or not you had decided on any of the suggested upgrades, there is no such thing as a stupid question being asked but you seem intent on asking further questions without answering any of our previous questions

I’ve only decided on my SSD and PSU, and I have taken into account what every has said, but that doesn’t mean I need to respond to each one.

So…

2. Can I replace my all of my RAM or can I only just add one more?

You can replace all of your RAM, and you can not use AMD and Nvidia cards together but you can have both on the motherboard and use one at a time but definitely not together in SLI/Crossfire configuration. That would require 2 nVidia or 2 AMD cards.

This by the by ShadowWarrior17 but you started a new thread asking if anyone had any parts to sell, not in keeping with the PCHF rules that are there to protect folk and certainly not an indication that you had taken into account what you had been advised, getting you the best and most appropriate spec upgrades for the right price is all that we are trying to do here, no one wants you to end up out of pocket or as disappointed as you appear to be with the stock Zoostorm Quest A8 that you purchased.

RE your RAM question above, did explain this to you back in reply #17;

Sorry but got to be blunt here, you will be wasting your money by upgrading the RAM, you already have 8GB which is the sweet spot for Windows 64-bit and any program or game that requires any more than 8GB of RAM would also require a mid to high end video card which sadly your computer does not have.

Another penny pinching trick that system builders such as Zoostorm do is use a single stick of 8GB RAM instead of 2X4GB sticks, this reduces their costs but sells you short as you only get single channel mode when using only a single stick of RAM, for you to get dual channel mode you will need to purchase another 8GB stick of matching RAM and the cheapest that I could find in the UK was £55.64p here which is a lot of cash simply for gaining dual channel mode, the additional RAM in the present build and even with the best low profile video card that you can get fitted will still not use the additional 8GB of RAM.
