Hi Owen and welcome to PCHF

Do you see a blinking cursor screen? Do you see an empty black screen?

It just has the Asrock logo and it says in the bottom right: F2 or Del to run Uefi setup
      F6 for instant flash
      F11A FOR boot menu
      Tab to switch screen

If it doesn’t boot at all, it’s more than likely your OS was overwritten. I’ve had this happen on more than one occasion. What OS are you running? I would try doing a repair install and see if that fixes the issue. I would also try putting the DVD in of the OS and attempting to do an install and see if the hard drive is listed. If not, your hard drive unfortunately fried.

This is from the Microsoft website.

                    [ol]
[li]On a working PC, go to the Microsoft software download website.[/li][li]Download the media creation tool and then run it.[/li][li]Select Create installation media for another PC.[/li][li]Choose a language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit).[/li][li]Follow the steps to create installation media, and then select Finish.[/li][li]Connect the installation media you created to your nonfunctional PC, and then turn it on.[/li][li]On the initial setup screen, enter your language and other preferences, and then select Next. If you’re not seeing the setup screen, your PC might not be set up to boot from a drive. Check your PC manufacturer’s website for info on how to change your PC’s boot order, and then try again.[/li][li]Select Repair your computer. On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > System Restore.[/li]
This will remove recently installed apps, drivers, and updates that might be causing your PC problems. Restoring from a restore point won’t affect your personal files.
                    [/ol]
