    Bootable USB not working

    SOLVED
I’ve used Rufus to write a Windows ISO to a usb drive. After I change the Primary Boot Device to Removable in the BIOS, it starts up but gets stuck at “Verifying DMI Pool Data…”. Where did I go wrong?

Hey jmarket. Yes I did, by changing the Flash Drive Type from “Floppy” to “HDD”, and then booting it through the Hard Disk menu instead of Removable Devices. I am still confused as to why “Removable” didn’t work. Could it be another USB device (headphones/gamepad/speakers/keyboard/mouse) interfering? I’m just curious.

I have ran across this issue on some systems. The only thing I could surmise that it was the size of the USB drive.

Example on one system no matter what setting I use to get it to boot to an USB drive smaller that an 32 GB will never happen. If I use the same setting and boot to an USB drive 32 GB or larger no issues.

What size is the USB drive you are using?

Try it with just the USB stick there and see what happens?
Could be like in Post #4 it has to be over X GB for it to be recognized.
BIOS up date if there is on may correct that. Being careful to select the correct on or you will have a nice paperweight.

                It’s 16 GB.
The issue is old, I even forgot what it was. Lol. I no longer need help with it, but if you want the discussion to go on, sure, why not?

Thanks, I actually didn’t find that option here on Tapatalk or else I would’ve done that. Sorry for the inconvenience.
