Hi Michael, Welcome to PCHF!
Have you gone into the computers BIOS to see if the hard drive is recognized? Have you tried opening up the computer and reseating the SATA and power cables for the hard drive and then seeing if the computer boots into Windows?
If that doesn’t help then the hard drive may have failed on you and you will most likely have to get it replaced. Have you backed up the data that is stored on that hard drive? -
I don’t know what any of this means but I took a picture to see if you could help me

Do you have any data that you need from the hard drive? If not then I would buy this hard drive as a replacement, WD Black 1TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD1003FZEX.
What version of Windows was installed in that machine? If you replace the hard drive then you will need to reinstall Windows and install all of the updates and drivers for the hardware devices in the computer. Do you know how to do this?Comment

This will tell you what system it is what version if windows it came with and you can get the proper drivers for the hardware that is on the system.

From doing a quick check the system came with XP or Vista 32 or 64 bit. So you will need to go to the Dell site and make sure.Comment
