I tried the scan again and it passed this time. However, I don’t see any way to see the results.
Running very slowly

Yes, but nothing in it is clickable. Attached is what I see (I ran the test a few times).Comment

Would you mind testing your RAM with Memtest86? I’m starting to think the HDD isn’t bad. Most scans show it’s fine. I do think it’s hardware related at this point though.
MemTest86 is the original self booting memory testing software for x86 and ARM computers. Supporting both BIOS and UEFI, with options to boot from USB.
There’s a short video on how to set up a bootable device using a USB
There’s also bootable CDs available for downloadComment

I think that test may be over my skill level–and I don’t have a USB. I’m thinking I should just buy another computer. Do you have any recommendations for the hardware I should look for?Comment

Hi, I understand you’re probably wanting a faster solution than this. Are you willing to try this as a troubleshooting step since we can’t test the memory?
Uninstall these:

Suggesting this because your event viewer logs show errors regarding these applications. I understand you may need them. So perhaps, just seeing if they temporary resolve the issues you are experiencing after uninstalling each and then rebooting the system. If there are settings you can export before hand, I would suggest exporting those too so you can use them for the reinstall.

Thank you for all your help. I ordered a new computer with a solid state drive, as you recommended in an earlier post. My computer is 4 years old and it is time for an upgrade.Comment
