Apps freeze randomly again

Hello everyone,

same issue as in:

[EMBED content=“post-197877”]https://pchelpforum.net/threads/apps-have-random-delay.91704/#post-197877[/EMBED]

The issue is that apps seem to freeze when I try to open them. I cant tell if there is a pattern when it happens, I havent noticed one yet. I just click on an already open app and it takes up to 8 seconds until something happens. Its so damn frustrating.

I upgraded my RAM so I have 32 GB now but it still happens. I redid all the steps mentioned in the previous post but it still happens. Its not continuously, but when it happens it happens with every app Im trying to re-open.

Can anyone help?

Kind regards,
Loskyll

I am moving this to the AM I infected forum, please follow the steps for gathering FRST logs here.
I do not suspect malware, but it is a lot easier for me to help you with this tool.
I suspect that windows update has reverted some of the changes we made.

I’ll need FRST and addition.txt logs in your next reply please.

If there are any issues gathering FRST logs, then let me know. About a month ago the forum crashed and most all pictures were lost. Parts of guides and instructions as well. I need to update the Frst instructions…

Hey!

Thank you for the fast response.

Since the screenshots don’t work, I created a screenshot of the settings I had when I ran the scan.

OK, I apologize but I need these logs in english please. You can do that for me by renaming FRST

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I’d like to have these logs in English please.
Delete the FRST and Addition.txt on your desktop.
Right Click on FRST64 and rename the FRST file to FRST64english.exe
Please then re-run the scan and post the FRST and Addition.txt logs.
Make sure and still run the program as Administrator.

This will give me the logs in English, making it easier for me to digest. (y)

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop.
NOTE. It’s important that both files, FRST/FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

After that let the tool complete its run.
When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt).
Please post it to your reply.

Boot into safe mode and remove this driver, related to Bitdefender, ripping it out with FRST is not the best idea since it is loaded and running on your computer, deleting manually in safe mode will be the best option. Removing with FRST could cause issues.

You can use the everything search engine
Also Add Unlocker to your right click menu.
Put the file path below into everything search while in safe mode.
Delete. (y)
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\bddci.sys

Important!!
Disabling Searchhost.exe could possibly disable the start menu:
Replace with OpenShell
Searches will still take place on the machine that will not be affected, telemetry search app will however be disabled.

I made an error in the previous batch file and SearchApp.exe was not renamed as intended. Or Updates brought it back to life. lol

New Fixlist is attached, please run it post new fixlog.

Safemode can be added to your right click menu if you download and run the attached batch file.

Ok. Have you ran the second fix, and removed the bitdefender driver while booted in safe mode?

If you have run the second fix, then post the log if not then that’s fine. We can leave the thread open for a while and see how it goes .
