Here you will find the short command for your browser for example firefox.exe
Paste firefox.exe into KillEmAll_Allowed.txt- Is the command prompt Windows + R or something else?
- What about the word ‘tasklist’? Is this a button, a menu option, or something I type into a field?
- How did Firefox get into this?
- How do I know what to put in the Allow list?

Skip the tasklist.txt. Just add chrome.exe to the Allow list for now. This will stop anything but chrome from running, you should not be trying to run multiple programs on this computer as I said before, so in between doing any one task on your computer run the kill batch this will leave open only your browser. You really need to add more ram, but this could help until you do. (y)Comment

Basically we add chrome.exe for now to get this created and in order, I can help you add anything else you like once it is done. But the idea here is to not add very much to it as this will be used to free up resources. When the machine is sluggish. So add chrome.exe continue with the instructions and we go from there.Comment

OK, thanks for clarifying. I paused when I saw that I could only run one program at a time. Right now I’m able to use three programs without much delay.Comment

That’s not what is intended. You just create the batch file then use it when the machine is sluggish. Go ahead a continue the steps and get it created. Then we can add the other programs to the list. ???Comment

Or, you say the problem of coming out of sleep is solved, and now you are running three programs without issue. We can close the thread, or continue. It’s up to you.Comment

I have completed all the steps in post #61:
Created Allow list (chrome.exe)
Created Allow list (2) (chrome.exe, word.exe, excel.exe, thinkorswim.exe); this file is not located in Tools or the Desktop
Created Addtorightclick.bat in Tools/Desktop

I got a window saying it is not associated with any application. The Tools folder has everything you listed but I did not move it to Documents. I moved it and tried again but got the same message.
Addtorightclick.bat is in the Desktop.
disableservices&task.bat is in Desktop and in its own folder on the Desktop.Comment

Seems one drive may still be active, if it is that will conflict with the commands.
Make certain Blackbird.exe is on the desktop, not in any folder.
Hit the windows Key and R at the same time:
Copy this:
cmd /c C:\Users\Bruce Kleinberg\OneDrive\Desktop\blackbird.exe -registry
Paste into the run box window.

Hit Enter or Click OK
Then when BlackBird loads.
Hit enter again.
Close the window when complete.
Reboot the machine.Comment

Blackbird.exe is directly on the desktop.

ok, I just need to see something. Can you please re-run FRST and post new FRST and Addition.txt logs this way I can see if One drive is still active and what files were created etc. Thanks. Can you also open the tools folder and screen shot what is inside it for me.
