Uninstall with GeekUninstaller:

Bonjour
HP Registration Service
HP Support Solutions Framework

Then Click View–Ms store Apps: Uninstall:

HP Support Assistant
Microsoft Advertising
Trend Micro Security

Please download the file PrivWindozeLite.exe and place it on your desktop.

Important: Ensure that you save all your current work, as this script will attempt to close all non-essential processes during its scan, including the web browser you are using to read this message.

[ul]
[li]Right-click on PrivWindozeLite.exe and select “Run as administrator” from the context menu.[/li][li]When the tool launches, you may be prompted again to save your work before proceeding.[/li][li]If the scan does not start automatically, press any key on your keyboard to initiate it.[/li][li]The script will try to create a System Restore point and will go through several stages of scanning. Please be patient during this process.[/li][li]Don’t worry if Windows Explorer closes; it will reopen once the scan is complete. This process typically takes just a few minutes.[/li][li]After the scan is done, the command prompt window will close automatically after 5 seconds, and you should find a log file named PrivWindoze.txt on your desktop.[/li][li]Please copy or attach the contents of PrivWindoze.txt in your next response.[/li][/ul]

FRST Fix.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop.
NOTE. It’s important that both files, FRST/FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.
Right Click Run FRST64 as admin; and press the Fix button just once and wait.
If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally.
After that let the tool complete its run.
When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt).
Please post it to your reply.

If there are further issues with Defender we will get to that, just run Adware Cleaner for me.

Adware Cleaner

[ul]
[li]Download AdwCleaner and save it to your Desktop[/li][li]Right-click on AdwCleaner.exeand select, Run as Administrator[/li][li]Accept the EULA (I accept), then click on Scan Now[/li][li]Let the scan complete[/li][li]Once the scan completes, make sure that every item listed in the different tabs is checked and click on the Quarantine and delete.[/li][li]Once the cleaning process is complete, AdwCleaner will ask you to restart your computer[/li][li]Close all other open windows and allow it to restart[/li][li]After the restart, Notepad will open with the AdwCleaner cleaning log[/li][li]Please Attach the contents of that log into your next reply to me[/li][/ul]

Geek Uninstall worked when I selected only one item at a time. I wasn’t able to uninstall HP Assistant System Support as it is integral to the Assistant.
Machine not noticeably faster. Will reboot after this and see.
PrivWindoze report below.
Will run AdwareClnr next.

I read the log and forgot to quarantine and delete before closing Malwarebytes. The log did not save and nothing happens when I try to run it as administrator again.
Aside from removing pre-installed software (which has been present before this problem arose) the log said there were no malicious things found in each of the categories.
Mini-freezes suddenly much more frequent.
Will try rebooting and see what happens.

OK, Malwarebytes just took a very long time to open. I deleted all the quarantined items and attached the logs.

Ok. Now can you re run FRST as you did initially, provide fresh FRST.txt and Addition.txt logs.

Also, do you use Onedrive, and Ms Edge?

ZHP Diag Scanner.

Download ZHP Suite to your desktop.
Right Click Run as admin.
Hit the scanner button.
Once it is complete a file name ZHPdiag.txt will be on your desktop.
Attach it.

Test the computer for a bit and see how it works, let me know.

I use Edge almost exclusively now since Chrome takes longer.
I use Onedrive somewhat for backup. The computer seems to default to it.

Percentage of memory in use: 70%
Total physical RAM: 6016.76 MB
Available physical RAM: 1749.82 MB

Well Edge takes Almost 2.5 to 3.0 Gigs of Memory to run.
One drive also chews resources.
Along with Searchapp.exe
and windows 10 needs about x2 to function with nothing running.

Combined that totals nearly 4-5 gigs of ram you only have a total of 6 installed, your machine will never function correctly with such little ram.
You could disable a few more things but you essentially have a netbook, a machine simply to go online with nothing more; certainly not going to do more than one task.

Are you in a position to Upgrade your Ram?
Would you like help with that?

Also the program Focusrite Usb 4.65.5.658 which runs this. Are you aware it is running on the machine?
Also this program Covenant Eyes Click to see reviews

We can continue to disable items from loading on your machine, but you will need to make some choices about what can be disabled, or we can see about updating your Ram.

Your choice, let me know.

Covenant Eyes Click to see reviews

The more I read the reviews, it seems like this software could be the cause of some of your issues…

Also, let’s see a speccy report.

Speccy Scan.

@Difficult_Man We can remove this program, trim up your start load and services to at least get you to a functioning machine.
