Regarding file conhost.exe in temp folder

Seeing as your Windows is out of date, perhaps a new install of W10 is in order? What are the specs of your PC? W10 provides much better security, and if you go this route, I can suggest a good method of protecting your PC from future threats.

I don’t think it would run Windows 10 that well it is pretty outdated,btw it is having core 2 duo 1st gen.

In this case, you’d want to install SP1. Almost all software nowadays requires at least W7 SP1.

The Volume Shadow error is likely due to a corrupt Windows install.

Okay ,i would repair windows first and then i would install sp1.

To update the system to sp1 and install amsisoft

I realised that conhost.exe is getting generated again, and just upgrading to sp1 won’t work. I’m gonna install windows in my system again.

If you’re going to go that route, back up important documents and everything first. A fresh install will wipe everything off the drive.

Then install W7, then SP1, then all the updates.

I did try a fresh install but my pc gets unresponsive on boot through DVD or USB.

What are you trying to install? Windows 7?
