Hello mnisia, Malnutrition has asked that I assist you whilst he is so busy working at the moment. I’m glad that your computer is now clean and the only issue remaining is a “surging” sensation. Looking through this thread I see you mentioned this earlier and take it to be the same issue?

This is most likely the sound of an internal fan you can hear as it’s unlikely, although possible, you could hear the hard drive spinning up and down. We may need to have other experts assist you with this problem but can you firstly make as certain as you can that all the vents in your laptop casing are clean and that there is nothing possibly preventing air flow underneath it. You can also check and see if your bios and device drivers are up to date.
