Thanks to jmarket and malnutrition for helping with my PC chrome issues. My son has chrome redirects on his mac. Appreciate any help you can give.

I went ahead and marked you thread as “Open” until I can get to this. I don’t use Mac’s much, but I’ll fire up a VM and let you know

I’ve done some testing. Let’s start with this

      [ul]
      [li]Start the Chrome browser.[/li]
[li]On the Apple menu bar, click Chrome and then select Preferences.[/li]
[li]In the left-pane of the Settings page, and then do the following:[/li]
      • [li]Select Extensions: If you find any suspicious extension in the list, click the Trash icon to remove it.[/li]

[li]Select Settings: Scroll down and click Show advanced settings. From the list of advanced settings, to restore the default settings of Chrome, click Reset browser settings.[/li]
In the dialog box that appears, click Reset.
        [/ul]

If that doesn’t work, go ahead and run MBAM for Mac

Before I opened this thread we ran Malwarebytes for Mac - it found 5 or so items, which we cleaned up. It didn’t solve the problem. Deleting extensions and resetting browser settings solved the problem. I asked my son to rerun malwarebytes and send me the txt file - he hasn’t run it yet, but I’ll post it when he does.
