    Total AV Ultimate Anti Virus

I have just read an article on the net that this program has received 9.9 out of 10 as the best anti virus program in existence.
It is also free. Where do they get paid and are their claims true?

Total AV is not free. (Free to download)
I wouldn’t even consider paying for it, or using it, if it was Free.

if you have Windows 10, it’s inbuilt Defender scores just as well.

I well and truly take the point of being wary of this sort of misrepresentation, as there is nothing worse than being told it’s free and it isn’t, but what of the program?
Leaving the cost aside, has anyone got anything to say to refute their claim of having the best virus protection?
By the way, I use ESET NOD3 and won’t be changing. I have put this thread up as general discussion for those interested.

Total AV is never rated among the reliable testing of malware/AV products on offer, suggest you could do better. Remember NO one security software package will stop all nasties.

The reviews i read didn’t bode well with the company/authors of the AV. In the review, they seemed to be bent on making you pay for parts of the pro version of this AV. Also it seemed to be even worse if you went with the free version, example (if you want to file scanned you have to pay) and the fact you have to register for the free version. Also it took 15 mins to do a quick scan which is long. All of these things is enough for me to ignore this AV.

OK thanks for your answers guys. Thanks for you explanation Vger.
I will stay with ESET NOD3, which I have had for a few years.
I saw this AV thing on the net and thought it would be an interesting topic for the forum.
              Resolved for me.
