    It is the only one i have used so far…Avast

    NOTE: I take that back..used 360 before it sucked.

      I use Webroot. It’s very lightweight and has never let me down.

              Do you mean portable as in no install, or portable as in for a portable device?

                I mean no installer, runs direct off pen drive and not install in windows (y)

                  Don’t know about the best but my favourite was Zemana, which they’ve now changed and it only runs as a resident AV if its installed. You can use it portable but only as a second opinion AV.

                  I take it you just want a run on demand AV? If so have a look at Emsisoft HERE
