Hey all

Just a minor update. Hopefully you are experiencing a speed increase if you’ve been here a while. I’ve disabled some unnecessary features including:

[li]Google+ Share[/li][li]Facebook Share[/li][li]Twitter Share[/li][/ul]
These were causing unnecessary slowdowns and should hopefully increase our loading speed

Although I would not call them useless. One person linking this site on just one of their social media outlets could expose us to potentially hundreds of people.

This does not eliminate sharing. People can still login using Google, FB, and Twitter, and can manually share. But to load these on the homepage was causing longer load times, which could turn people away, especially those on lower-speed connections.

Not likely to happen, if people are not presented with an option to do so.

But if it makes the site load faster, then for sure it is good you did it.
