Sincere Apologies for Downtime

I apologize to everyone for the downtime. I was at work since 4 am this morning and I got an email stating PCHF was offline. I was unable to do anything at all. I just now got home and realized our DNS provider was having issues so I have switched to a more promising and redundant DNS provider. Again, I apologize profusely about the downtime and we shouldn’t have any more from here on out

I just check to make sure it isn’t my computer acting up. When it wasn’t, I did a few other chores I’ve been putting off until the site came back.

So you do work for a living. Imagine my shock to find that out.

Glad it wasn’t any worse than that Mate. I’ve chased gremlins like that for hours all with the customer riding my shirt tails. Talk about pressure.

@plodr - You will get grey hair expecting the worse there Lass. Old LC can tell ya it’s nay as bad as it can be.

Thought there was a problem, glad that it’s fixed. However I can’t access the site when on my cellular network since the downtime - it says the server cannot be found.

Hmmm… Not sure why it’s saying that. Do you get an error code, such as 500, 404, 403, etc? Does it only occur on your cellular network?

No error number on either iPad or iPhone & yes just on cellular (3 network UK). This is what I see. Galaxy note 4 (same network) says more, that the DNS lookup failed, β€œERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED”.

Safari may not be refreshing M’Lady. Or your Provider’s DNS server has not updated yet.

Thanks Lord Chance, it’s probably the latter as it’s the same on my Android device using the same cellular network.

I’m not sure how to change the DNS server on the IPad or IPhone but you might try that. I use the fastest DNS server for my location to keep outages like that to a minimum.

That ship has already left the dock! I am a senior citizen for quite a few years. You are probably younger than me.
My working years as a High School Math(s) teacher in an urban school taught me how to expect the worst and then some.

I make it a rule never to argue with a Lady but as for the age disparity I’ll nay grant you that one. Me sainted Mother says a woman never ages beyond a certain point. Who am I to disagree. Besides, old LC has never acted his age a day in his life so who can tell.

A teacher you say? Thank ye for yer service Lass. Tis a difficult job with little respect.
