    Cannot post anything

Ok, this has got me stumped.
I cannot reply or PM or create a new thread, have tried 4 browsers, 2 PCs and the iPad.

Only works if I use this iPhone and Safari.

Also, my avatar shows as a white square and when trying to register as a new user (thought I’d give that a go) I don’t see the Captcha.

    What am I doing wrong?
Others are posting so it can’t be the forum software but with all my different devices I can’t see how it’s me either.

    Any ideas???

    Whoa, alright, I’m back again.
After wasting spending half a day on this, it may have been as simple as SmartScreen filtering.
Mind you I have been going down numerous rabbit holes but the latest tweak was to SmartScreen, so I’ll blame that.

        What is SmartScreen filtering?
I want to know so I don’t ever use it.

What is the SmartScreen filter, and how does it work?

and further to Rustys links (thanks for those) it’s no longer just the domain of Internet Explorer (Edge) but the Windows system as a whole.
and from my day in hell with it yesterday, I think also other browsers (but don’t quote me on that)

                Oi!, I’m one of those.
why pay for one when one of the top rated ones is already inbuilt in the OS. (god, now I’m sounding like a MS fan boy)

Well I rarely run IE; about the only time I run it is to test a site.
I never ran Windows 8, or Outlook and since I don’t intend to run Win 10, Edge is also out.

                  I think I’m safe.
