hi administrator,

i have a problem which happen a few days ago in which i cannot ping or \ ***.***.*** into a share folder on another machine. All other machines i am able to do so (windows and windows 10) but not this machine . I have tried to start in safe mode with network having same problem cannot ping or \ ***.***.*** into the share folder.

things done :-

have uninstall my antivirus
have disable my firewall
password share disable (under networking)
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
net int ip reset
netsh winsock reset
disable ipv6
netstat -r (not sure how the read the result)
disable than reable NIC card / driver (uninstall)
tracert ip number did no return any result

is this a IMPC problem , machine in use (problem)

windows 7 professional
64 bit
using static address ipv4

Any help / suggestion would be very much appreciated

There was no updates in fact boot into safe mode also i could not ping that share folder (machine)

Sounds like something is blocking the connection. It may be an IMPC problem.

Permissions will do that - are you signed in as Admin.

Being that this OS is no longer supported the best course of action is to back up your important data and then upgrade to Windows 10 for free while you still can, there are conspiracy theorists out there that reckon MS are sending out bugs that hose Windows 7 bad enough to make users upgrade to Windows 10, can`t see what MS stand to gain from this but who knows.

Download MiniToolBox and save the file to the Desktop.

Close the browser and run the tool, check the following options;

List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
List Installed Programs
List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Click on Go.

Post the resulting log in your next reply for us if you will.

3. i do use any kind of VPN (virtual private network system)

i can ping to all other machines from this problem pc and the machine i am using can also ping to the problem machine.

i just install a new NIC card into the computer and am now able to ping and ascess the share folder with this new NIC card,
as i do not want to have 2 NIC in my machine any suggestion how to resolve this problem.

If it is an add on card remove the problem NIC, if integrated, disable it in the BIOS.
