    Network Adapter Problems

Woke up this morning, and the computer is unable to connect to the internet. I run the troubleshooter, and get the following message:

β€œWindows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver.”

This is a relatively new computer that we built from home, and used a Windows 10 USB to install the OS. It’s been working just fine until now, and I have no idea what caused it to break- I can’t think of anything besides the power flashes caused by the storms last night, but we do have a surge protector. I’ve tried:

    β€’Running the different troubleshooters

    β€’Restarting the computer

    β€’Resetting the network

β€’Checking for network adapter updates from the device manager (both from the PC itself, and the Windows 10 USB files)

β€’Rolling back the adapter updates (this option was unavailable, so I don’t think this was caused by an update)

β€’Uninstalling all the adapters and resetting the computer

Any help is useful, let me know if you need any more information.

How there are so many different way briefly explain.

    Wired or wireless

how far away form the source

    how strong is the signal

How many other wifi signals are showing and how strong are their signals?

Reboot the modem and router if there is one

We need system specs please include the make and model of the power supply

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

The connection is wired, and I reset it through the β€œNetwork reset” option under a Network and Internet settings. I know it isn’t the modem/router, because it still works with all of the other devices connected to it.

As for Speccy, I can’t really download it due to the problem above - my computer has absolutely no connection to the internet. I can manually provide the specs here, though.

Surge could have gone through the network cable.
