Is it possible to transfer Favourites from WIn 7 to Win 10 laptop?

Am in the process of transferring all my old data on now defunct Win 7 …(no support!) to win 10 laptop, am having problems transferring favourites, have tried direct USB/USB,plus memory stick, although I can easily attach favourites to memory stick there appears no way of getting them onto Win 10 edge,as no directional path is given?
Import/export also appears not to recognise connection with Win 10 laptop, so am I wasting my time? Thanks for any advice

You will need to export them to HTML to a USB drive then import the HTML to the new system off the USB drive.

Thanks you for replying, I have managed to import them into win 10 documents and created a short cut to desktop which allows me to access them quite quickly., however they are in a file given the name β€œbookmarks”, is there any way now that I have them in the win10 PC system, that I can transfer the file to the Win 10 PC favourites? Many thanks

        Is the file called Bookmarks.html?

If yes open the borwser in the new system and find import form HTML and then have it import that file.
