Internet Stops working after launching Games.

HI, recently I upgraded my motherboard and ever since my internet has had some troubles whenever I launch a game. for CS:GO when I launch It I get onto the main menu screen but after around 30 seconds I get disconnected and I can’t do anything, However if I tab out my internet is fine. Or with league of legends when I go into a game it will just disconnect me and not reconnect at all, I have to unplug my wireless adaptor and plug it back in. However games like rainbow six siege or borderlands 3 I have no problems. The games launch find and my internet never stops working. I have tried updating drivers for my motherboard and adaptor I have changed some settings for example turning off whether my pc can turn off my adaptor to save power. I also did a diagnostic launch and windows couldn’t Identify the problem. One temporary fix I have used is resetting my Router. Once It’s reset my internet never cuts our or disconnects until I reset, shut down or put my pc to sleep and then it goes back to disconnecting. Also the way my pc is and router setting up a ethernet cable would be too difficult and right now isn’t an option. Any help would be appreciated I’ll list my specs here:

    AMD Ryzen 3 1200 Quad-Core Processor 3.10 GHz
    8Gb Ram
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
    Gigabyte B450M Motherboard

    Thanks,

    Welcome to the forum @Shinitai

What security software are you running and firewall. Have you checked to make sure that it is allowed on or the other can be blocking them from getting through to the network properly.

Try disabling them and run the game does the same thing happen?

the only security/firewall I have is windows firewall, all games are checked to be allowed. I also turned off Firewall and the problem was still there.

@Shinitai please do not quote previous posts, only creates more clutter.

Some other things we can check while we wait for @Evan Omo

Have you also tried reinstalling the software?

Are you running a Static or Dynamic IP address on that system?

Is the firewall active on the modem and or router?

Have you tried to activate the WiFi on the modem and use it and did it help at all?

Just to confirm the only program you are having the issue with is called CS:GO and a game League of Legends?

          Off/On or Factory Restore?

Have you tried a reset on the computers WiFi card?

Since you have reset the router have you reset the modem?

Have you ever been able to play the game or use that program?

Is this something that just started and or has been happening for ever since?

            Hi Shinitai, Welcome to PCHF!

Try Performing a clean boot in Windows and see if the same behavior occurs.

Is the power plan in Windows set to high performance?

Have you updated your motherboards BIOS to the latest version?
