Hi there - I recently put a new PC in my upstairs office, and the original plan was to run an ethernet cable down through the house to the router - however, Iβve realised that in the room next to my office, a previous owner has had a fibre optic broadband outlet installed (in addition to the one which is plugged in to the downstairs router). Itβd be much easier to run a cable through to the next room, so is there a way I can convert from the fibre optic outlet to ethernet without using a standard router? It seems silly to have a second router if thereβs something more basic and cheaper available - Iβve had a google around but I canβt really find what Iβm looking for. I know I could use wireless, but its a gaming PC so Iβd prefer a wired connection.
Also Iβm not sure if thereβre different types of fibre optic connectors, this is what the one coming out of the box in the other room looks like, though:

Thanks in advance!
