Internet went out and had a guy come over to fix it installed a new modem and ran a new line out to the street and the modem and WiFi are working but now my devices are unable to validate the IP configuration. IP address and DNS server are set to automatic. I’ve updated drivers and input netsh winsock reset, netsh int ip reset, netsh advfirewall reset and ipconfig /flushdns into Powershell.
Kinda exhausted and lost all patience trying to figure out what the issue is and nothing is working ???♂️
Not much help to you but the guy has not done his job until you have a fully working internet connection.
Have you you checked your ISP instructions for doing the first time set up.
Was the guy and the equipment from your own ISP, here in the UK my ISP company Sky will not allow you to use any hardware that is not provided by them.
That IP address is APIPA, which means the DHCP server is not working. You’ll need to contact your ISP and let them know you are receiving an APIPA address
When you run
[ICODE]ipconfig /all[/ICODE]
do you get a 169.254.***.*** address?
