Vista is NOT secure to be use online and there is nothing that can make that happen.

Again, this is why you are having issue if the server of the site does not see that you are running an up-to-date OS and Browser it WILL NOT allow you access.

As an example www.politicalhotwire.com will not connect on firefox but it will connect on chrome and now that i downloaded slimjet it connects there as well.

So install Ublock Origin on it, since it seems to be working on all sites. If this browser work on all sites then forget the other browsers get used to using this one!

Before i do this what does a DNS flush do?

It will also change your dns server to the ones mentioned.

I did the DNS flush. Didnt seem to help with connecting but the commp seems faster. ublock origin is a good malware blocker? It is on now

Slimjet connects on all those sites correct, so just use it.

Sure, i still have some questions however. When a site comes up and it says you need to accept the cookies do they add malware to the comp?
