    Googlemail welcome page

    Hi Guys
    I am tidying up a friend’s laptop (w10) and when I c/o the GM icon, it always opens at the welcome page and I want it to open like mine at the inbox page, advice, please.

    forgetting the icon, what happens if you just go to gmail.com ?

      Ah ! then it opens as I want it to, same as my Gmail, so what next, as he wont want to have to open the internet first

        I think it’s solved (thanks to you) as I dragged the icon from the new open window in address bar and have put it on his desktop

          Bruce, Yes now it’s working as I want it, so one last query if I may. I am attaching a pic of how MY google screen appears (as I want it to be) and then a pic of my friends google screen. I want to change his to mine so he has the same search window.[ATTACH type=β€œfull”]10562[/ATTACH][ATTACH type=β€œfull”]10563[/ATTACH]

            the icons appearing below the search field are the most recent, or most common, so will always be different between the two PC’s.
            the icons in the bookmark bar can be exported from one PC sand imported into the other if you wanted those to be the same.

                  I UNinstalled and did a fresh install so yes, all sorted now, sorry late in reply. I am now try to place a Hotmail s/c on his desktop and he has to go around the world to open his MH

                    in the browser, go to Hotmail, bookmark it, then drag the bookmark icon to the desktop.
