Adjusting Font Sizes in Chrome's Toolbar

I am trying to increase the font size in Chrome’s toolbar. By toolbar, I assume this refers to the one that runs along the top of the Chrome webpage, and which contains one’s favourites/favorites. Below is the so-called “help” Chrome offers in its Settings to address this question:

"How do I change the font size on my Google Toolbar?

Select Settings from the menu. The Google Chrome settings page will now appear. In the search box at the top of the settings page, type “font”. Under the Appearance options, select the drop-down menu for Font size and choose a new setting."

Unfortunately, this instruction is actually worse than useless. For while it globally affects all the fonts elsewhere on Chrome, it doesn’t alter by a single millimetre the font sizes in the Chrome toolbar itself. . . duh?? Now I admit that my eyesight is far from wonderful. Even so, the fonts on my Chrome toolbar are so minuscule that there are times when I have to use a magnifying glass - yes, a real Holmesian magnifying glass, not an virtual onscreen one! Incidentally, the same problem occurs whenever I right-click Chrome’s menu options.

Clearly there must be a way of resolving this issue. How, though, remains a complete mystery to me. So I’d be extremely grateful for any ideas here.

PS. My laptop’s OS is Win10.

I would think you’d be better off by either changing the Windows font size, and therefore affecting all programs or you could drop the screen resolution and make everything ‘bigger’ but again, ity’ll be globally for everything on the PC.

did you ONLY want the Chrome toolbar increased and nothing else?

I didn’t realise that Windows also controls online browsers in this way. It’s also telling that many of my online problems - font sizes etc - began after “upgrading” to Win10 recently. Thanks for pointing this out to me. I’ll see what can be done. . . though Win10 is still very much a foreign country to me. . . hate it in fact. But that’s another story.
