T-bird from old to new PC

Hi. I have just successfully backed up the Thunderbird mail profile contents from my ‘old’ PC to a USB key. Thunderbird is already installed but not up-to-date on my newer PC. Should I delete any files or anything before uploading so there is no interference or loss of data ? ( at least it will still be on the USB key ). Thanks for your time and be safe !

Would update thunderbird then upload some older versions do not play well with newer.

It says I am at 78.6.0, and am up-to-date. Before uploading what is on the USB key, should I erase or empty some files that have same names ?

That is up to you if they are the same file on the USB then they should overwrite the files that are there.
