    Inconsistent downloads

    Hello,

Lately I’ve been experiencing some issues with my internet.
Whenever I tried to download something using my browser the download would start but after a few seconds it would stop completely, only to continue when I would pause and then resume the download which would again work only for a few seconds. At first I thought this might be a connection problem but I could still watch youtube videos, play games with stable ping and download on Steam with no problems whatsoever. I tested my speed on speedtest.net and it showed stable 8-15 ping and 200 mb/s download speed. I tried switching browsers but the problem persisted. Later I found out that this issue is not limited only to my PC, downloads were also stopping on my PS4 after around 10Mb and interestingly enough would resume when I would pause/unpause the download, again only for a few seconds.

I assume this might have something to do with my router settings or ISP themselves.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Does this happen on every download form all sites or just a few sites.

Is this something that has just started to happen.

Have you contacted them they may be having issues with their servers.

These are not in any way shape and or form downloads that are illegal

The downloads are not illegal it is software like for example android studio or hyperx Ngenuity among others, and on my ps4 it’s just a regular system update.

It has just started to happen this week.

        Reboot the modem and router

Are you using Static and or Dynamic IP address on the affected systems

Check to makes sure that that is the only system that has that IP address. If more than one system has that IP address then they fight for dominance. The modem will also only allow the one that is listed to have the priority and the other is kicked off.

                Hello,

After contacting the ISP the problem was resolved, so it seems it was on their end.
Thank you for all the help!
