It seems to be working completely fine, minus the dual SSID thingy, after a clean boot. Strange.

Alright, since it seems to be working fine after the clean bootβ¦ This will be time consuming, so start by enabling one or two (Services just Services) at a time, then rebooting and checking the issue. When the issue happens again you will be able to deduceβ¦Comment

Ok, Iβve finished, and sure enough, the OpenSSH server seemed to be the issue, and I now have a working wifi card. Thanks for all your helpComment

Hang on, itβs actually not working. My connection was fine for about half an hour, then it dropped again. Strangely this sometimes happens on my Ubuntu installation as well, could it be a hardware issue?Comment

Well, if it is happening on the Ubuntu install then that would indicate a hardware issue, the best way to test that would be to purchase a cheap USB Wifi adapter and test it out.
Also, might reset your router to factory settings, plus change the channel; Iβd check these steps first.Comment
