Hi! I’m not a big tech guru, so please pardon my lack of technological knowledge as I try to explain this issue I’ve been having for the past 6-8 months.
To make a long story short, I have not been able to “use” any site with recaptchas, as in I cannot download programs or make accounts with websites that use them. They [the recaptchas] don’t show up, period. I can’t prove that I’m not a robot to be able to checkout or make accounts or anything, since nothing shows up for me to check the box or “select the pictures with street signs in them” etc. etc.
I have tried using different browsers, like firefox, internet explorer, chrome and even chrome canary, to no success.
I have updated adobe flash and shockwave, and also updated java, in case the recaptchas required these to run, to no avail.
I have reset chrome to all of its default settings, cleared the cache and cookies, even uninstalled and re-installed to see no change.
I have gone to a few forums (including google chrome and windows specific forums) where people were experiencing the same problem, but even after doing what people suggest would fix it, nothing seems to be showing any improvement.
My computer is an HP Pavilion with Windows 10 home 64-bit operating system and is about a year and a half old, and I use avast free antivirus. I haven’t fiddled around with the antivirus settings as I’m not sure how to approach changing settings there that might help me.
I guess at the end of the day, I just want to be able to see and use recaptchas like normal people, I’m not looking for a way to bypass them.
Please help! any and all suggestions will be appreciated. If you have any other questions I can try to clarify. Thank you so much!
