Iβd send it for repair at this point. The more we do, the closer we get to voiding a warranty.
The nuke n pave fresh install - the utilizing the OEM utility to search for and install drivers and still no solution.
These actions should have fixed it.
All that iβve done, i did it after hp support told me i could do it as to not void warranty. Hopefully i wonβt have any problems. I could always send it but i really didnβt want to wait 1 month for service and (by my limited knowledge in theese things) i still think itβs not a hardware problem thatβs why i was seeking help to see if there are any other solutions.
But you guys are the experts so i will do as advised
+1 on the idea that if you reloaded Windows, everything should be back to factory settings EXCEPT it sounds like you did a βover the topβ reinstall of Windows, even though you told it βkeep nothingβ.
I have found the best βnuke it from spaceβ method is to use the Windows Media Creation Tool to create a bootable USB stick, and change the boot order in BIOS to boot from USB first.
Using this method, one of the initial screens during the reinstall offers you the chance to delete all current partitions, doing that ensures the new Windows install is straight off the USB stick.
So last throw of the dice, try that.
And as a side note, never use any of those 3rd party driver update programs.
If Windows or the manufactureβs website hasnβt got your driver, donβt trust any other source.
Looks like you used Driver Identifier, which Windows Defender threw up many warning it is a potentially unwanted program.
These programs are well known for malware, spreading crap, loading the wrong stuff, or generally just making things worse.

That is the method i used. As you could see now, i have only 1 partition. Because i deleted all while booting from usb changed in bios.
The 3rd party driver updater i tried as a last resort since nothing else worked. I know theyβre not to be trusted. On my laptop i have a sunscription to Norton and i saw their driver updater could update drivers i couldnβt find manually.
The thing is, as i read somewhere while trying to find a solution, is that this type of error i have is related to bios. Do you think itβs true? Anyways, i went to hp site and got the latests bios version bit still nothing changed
To confirm, if the laptop is ion βnormalβ mode, the touch screen works fine, and the laptop generally is fully functional.
But flip the screen back on to itself, and in tablet mode, the touch screen doesnβt work but the laptop still functions via a keyboard?

When the laptop is in laptop mode there is no touchscreen. It works like a laptop. But everything works fine. When i flip the screen, it goes into tablet mode, meaning the screen changes but touchscreen doesnβt work. Keyboard and touchpad are supposed to be disabled in tablet mode as far as i know, so the keyboard and touchpad donβt work in tablet mode.
Also, in tablet mode, rotating the laptop works, meaning, like a phone, the screen goes from landscape to portret
While no expert, all the touchscreens I have ever used work no matter the configuration, the touchscreen capabilities are part of the screen itself, be it the original sensors down the screen border to know where your finger is, or the newer conductive touch method.
Did the touchscreen ever work when in laptop mode?
And after the fresh install of Windows, you were able to install all the drivers?

Hmmm⦠never tried touchscreen in laptop mode ???
After install all drivers were installed
In Device Manager now, are there any entries showing a yellow exclamation mark (meaning Error) or a black down arrow (meaning Disabled) next to them?
Just the one : Intel Quick SPI Host Controller (i think is the exact name) with code 10, device failed to start. I tried disableing it, uninstalling it, trying to update it, get it new from hp, from intel, from web.

Not What I would do (Sorry Bruce)
I would do this method. If It does not work and no device errors then Hardware.
