Out of nowhere, Wifi cannot connect

My ASUS TUF Gaming laptop usually just connects to the internet with no problems. But now it just won’t do it no matter what I try. I tried restarting my computer, but no matter how many times I do it, it doesn’t help. It was a bit problematic connecting earlier in the day as well, but it did connect–Now it simply won’t.

When I look at the Wifi name and I click to connect to it, it is showing only 1 bar for some reason. The internet on my desktop that is connected with an Ethernet cable works just fine and Wifi seems to work on my other devices.

The Wifi reads as “Connecting.” And then when I open it further, I am able to click Connect. Then, it indicates that it is loading the connection, but it quickly comes to “Can’t connect to this network.”

    Any ideas?

To answer my own question and possibly save someone 30-60 minutes of troubleshooting…
    1. Turn off the computer (in my case laptop). Let it completely turn off.
    2. Hold the power button for 30 seconds. (If there is a removable battery, I would guess it would be best to remove it before doing this).
    3. Let go of the power button. Wait 2 or 3 seconds.
    4. Turn on the computer.

    FIXED!

Is it fixed for good or do you have to now do this process every time you start the laptop?

It’s fixed, I don’t have to do it each time.
