We now know the following;

The drive is detected and set as the boot drive.

The Windows OS on the drive is good.

You have swapped SATA cables.

What we don`t know;

Why you swapped SATA cables in the first place.

If you have tried all other SATA ports **

**
In case not aware, not all SATA ports can be booted from.

I have tried the original SATA cable (the one that was working originally) and another one (different cable and different port).

Ubantu on the USB won’t even boot either, so is it a problem with the drive, if both Hard Drive (Windows) and USB (Ubantu) aren’t booting?

Update: Tried removing both RAM sticks and using one at a time and trying different slots, no avail.

I forgot to mention, it’s boots into Windows Recovery mode.

Sorry for the delay but was waiting on feedback regarding the above.

If you knew this from the outset it may have helped move things along if you had mentioned it.

Thanks for clarifying that all SATA ports had been tried but what about why you swapped SATA cables and ports in the first place, the information may be a clue as to what is going on.

Can I ask what you mean by recovery mode, Windows has a Recovery Environment ( RE ) that includes an Advanced Troubleshooting area that includes among other things Safe Mode and System Restore etc, is this what you are seeing.

Can you try the Safe Mode ( No Networking ) option for us then post back with an update before trying anything else.

Not heard back from you aislinganna97, do you still require assistance or is the issue now resolved, an update would be appreciated.
