Windows 11 Boot Issues

I am having issues booting into Windows 11 (see video).

After the loading (circle) screen that shows up after the "to enter bios’ screen, the display cuts off.

Things I have already tried:
[ul]
[li]Fresh installation of Windows 11[/li][li]Resetting BIOS (CLRTC)[/li][li]Switching SATA cables[/li][/ul]
One thing I noticed is that I can boot from the drive externally to another PC (Windows loads just fine)

Video link

Any advice would be appreciated!

Not sure what you mean by this, se you saying that you put the boot drive in another computer and Windows booted up okay.

Sorry but you have post on a tech forum asking for help but have provided zero information about your computer or it`s hardware, this makes it impossible for anyone to even hazard a guess as to what is going on.

Is the computer a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if a brand name, provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the CPU, MB, the RAM ( including the amount, number of sticks and speed ) add on video card if one is used and the PSU (power supply unit) providing these details will enable folk to better help you.

Edit to add: Got the video and tbh it does not look like the Windows loading dots. it looks more pre boot.

I agree Phil. It’s also not the RE boot circle which is usually larger.

Can you answer the above for us

Do you have a spare USB stick that you could use to download Linux or Ubuntu to see if that will boot.

Sorry but " Yes I do " what.

You obviously have the USB stick but what about the other question that was asked, we don’t want any misunderstanding/s.

Sorry Philip! Yes, I reinstalled Windows on the hard disk and it still wasn’t booting up, so I booted externally from a laptop using a hard disk docking station, it booted just fine.

Thanks for clearing that up, we now know that this is not a Windows issue.

When you booted from Ubuntu, can I ask what the writing said that we could see in the top left hand corner in your video of Ubuntu.

Some additional questions if I may,;

If you enter the BIOS during start up, what happens if you leave the computer sitting in the BIOS, as in does it stay in the BIOS or do you see the same spinning dots and then blank screen.

Do you have a keyboard connected.

Are the USB ports enabled in the BIOS.

How is the HDD/SSD is identified in the BIOS, a Seagate HDD for example will be listed something like ST1000DM004 and a Western Digital along the lines of WD10JPLX or WDS100T1BOE, other brands will have similar identification codes, only when such an ID code is present is a HDD or SSD actually detected and an entry simply listed as SATA HDD means that the BIOS will and has looked for a HDD in that particular boot sequence but no HDD was detected.

And last but not least, have you tried booting with only one stick of RAM in slot one, then slot two and then repeated the same test with just the second stick of RAM.

I have attached the bootlog and a screenshot of the text that you asked for.

When I enter BIOS it stays in BIOS, doesn’t change until I tell it to.

Yes, I have a keyboard attached.

In BIOs its showing as β€œ(SATA6G_1:CT1000BX500SSD1)”.

The USB ports are enabled in BIOS.

No, I haven’t tried booting with one RAM stick yet.

Thanks for the update.

Is your boot drive a 1TB Crucial SSD, if yes, is it list as the first boot device in the BIOS.

The fact that the computer stays in the BIOS is hopefully a good sign.

The RAM we can come back to if needs be.

Yes, it is a 1TB Crucial SSD, and it’s the only option in the boot order.
