to find out what extensions are installed in Edge, click the . . . in the top right corner, then Extensions, and they will be listed.

download Chrome and try that browser.

what is β€œthe bar at the top it says muted” - is there an unmute button or icon to press?
        can you show a screenshot?

good news on the Chrome front.

personally, I don’t use Edge, not many do as there are better alternatives with better industry support.
Internet Explorer was crap (most web developers left it behind many years ago) and Edge is just Internet Explorer with a Chrome engine.

if companies have the same thoughts about Edge as they did with IE, then they are not writing their web sites to support Edge, as it’s usage is so low, with Chrome and Firefox historically taking the lion share of the market.

              sounds like a plan.
good luck, I think once you get into Chrome, you’ll hardly notice a difference.
