Am having problems with controlling my mouse. It flickers on & off & moves the page without being asked, has a mind of its own!
It is wireless on my HP desktop PC running windows 11. I have tried another mouse but the issue remains so think it is not a hardware issue.
Can anyone offer advice please?
You posted no technical information about the
mouse
computer
what you have tried
All we would be doing is guessing
When does this happen
Has any software, firmware, hardware been changed prior to this starting
Changed the battery
relocated the dongle
rebooted the computer
tried a different computer
tried a wired mouse
tried a different user account on the computer
booted into Safe Mode
booted into a Clean Boot
Sorry for lack of info. I am rather a novice with computers.
My desktop PC is an HP all in one that is running windows 11.
It happens every day at some point.
Yes have tried new batteries.
Dont know what a dongle is, sorry.
Yes by reboot if you mean restarted it. Sometimes after this it performs ok for a while then plays up again.
I only have the one computer.
I tried another mouse that worked from a small usb thing. same problems.
Not sure how to change user account?
Also the terms safe mode & clean boot are not familiar to me.
As you can see I am a tech dummy. Will understand if you cannot help me, thanks for trying.
