PC won't start after Windows update.

My Pc stopped working after i downloaded a windows update yesterday. I chose the option to download and shut down since i wanted to go to sleep but later noticed that the screen seemed frozen in the screen that says the pc brand name and offers to enter BIOS. I tried that to see if the pc would react, but it didn’t so i decided to hold the power button to turn it off. When i tried turning my pc on the next day, it is only β€žonβ€œ for about two seconds, the front LEDs and the fans turn on, but it immediately turns off again before i even hear the RAM beep and repeats this process unless i hold the power button pressed (it just turns off then) or plug out the power cable.

If you turned it off in the middle of an update, there’s the potential you cooked your operating system.

What is the beep pattern? Are some longer, shorter, how many are there?

Do you have the option to enter the BIOS?

I would try downloading the media creation tool to a flash drive (at least 8GB) and using it to attempt to repair the operating system.

I turned it off after the update, it said that the update would take 5minutes. I went to brush my teeth and watched some TV, I got back to the PC around 25-30min after that and it was at that stage where it shows the brand of the computer on the screen. (It looked like the PC was frozen in that screen saying the computer brand name)

There is no beep pattern for me sadly
I don’t hear a single beep when I turn the PC on, it turns off before that.
Nothing shows up on the computer screens. I can just hear the fan for 3 seconds or so.

I do not have the option to enter the BIOS.

I will see what I can do, my old PC is still updating right now.

Even if you β€œcooked”-that’s a technical term.- your Windows installation, the system should still POST.

Can you reset the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery?
