Interesting. ???

Let’s get some more information:

Download and run speccy.

Once you have ran speccy, follow the instructions to upload a snapshot found here.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:
[ol]
[li]In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.[/li][li]In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.[/li][li]Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot dialog box. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.[/li][/ol]

First uninstall any third party antivirus applications and or firewalls.

On a working machine, or your phone.
Download the complete internet repair tool.

Save it to the desktop of your computer with the issue.
Then unzip it there, right click and run the x64 bit version and run it as admin, with all options ticked.
Once it completes if it does not ask to reboot your computer then do so manually.

My apologies, I should have been more clear on how to do so offline. It seems that Mal has you covered with his expertise.

I followed these instructions and ran the program, but the problem is still there

Also try this open cmd and type msdt.exe -id Devicediagnostis this fixes the problem most of the time.

If the above does not work
do you have access to another computer on the same network

What I would try is on laptop
find the current ip range

Click on start. Either type or copy and paste what is in Blue. What is in Red is what you do e.g Enter (Press the Enter key)

ipconfig /all Enter

You may have to scroll back up you are looking for e.g

IPv4 address 192.168.0.5

Subnet 255.255.255.0

Gateway 192.168.0.1

Or the numbers could start with 10 instead of 192.

On the other machine set a static ip - pick a number in the range
e.g if laptop is 192.168.0.5 make this one 192.168.0.55

Click on the search and type in network status

You should get a settings list showing Network Status

Click on Ethernet on the left-hand side

Click on change adapter options on the right-hand side

Right click on Ethernet

Left click on Properties

Left click on Internet Protocol Version (TCP/IPv4)

Left click on Properties

Left click on use the following IP Address

Put in the ip address information you got from ipconfig /all

Click Ok >Close
Test
Clear as mud?

It was @PeterOz who had the idea to set the static IP. I just helped his instructions along. Have a great day.

Also, keep this tool handy, it is a simple tool to set a static IP with ease. It works on windows 10 and 11 just doesn’t say that it does.
