Correct. I was trying to see if a different monitor would work.

I can see the desktop or what ever I’m using on the computer but it’s distorted, has some lines, ghosting etc.

Your laptop was originally windows 10
Did this happen only after the windows 11 update
When the 2nd monitor is connected what refresh rate are you using
        Try 60Mhz (could be 59)

It did start after the windows 11 update.
I think it was at 59Mhz.

Can you go here and download speed fan and install Click On Me .
Run speed fan then click on the Exotics tab > show the magic. Post a screen capture. To do a screen capture in Windows 10 press the windows key and the print screen button together. It will put the image in Pictures>Screenshots

I’ve had the laptop connected to the TV (TCL Smart TV) for a number of hours yesterday and a few days before and it didn’t flash once, I’ve just connected it back to the Acer monitor and it’s flashing and is black most of the time.

The Acer monitor was used with another laptop and was fine the whole time.
