Windows 11 might've broken my steam client. NEED HELP URGENTLY

When I started up my computer today, there was no steam icon on my desktop. Even searching everywhere on the computer didn’t yield any results. So I redownloaded steam, but none of my games are showing in the client, and when I try to launch any game from the steam library folder on my computer (That one was the only file saved on my computer apparently) They launch, but none of my progress or anything at all is saved. Things to mention (that might have something to do with it): updating windows 11 to feature update “22H2” on 10/6/22, and quality update “Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5019980)” on 11/9/22. Other than windows updates though, I haven’t done anything out of the usual either on my computer or in steam recently. I don’t understand how this could’ve just suddenly happened out of nowhere.

The thing I want to fix: the saves on my games. I don’t care about putting everything back in it’s place as long as my games are playable and I don’t lose any progress on more of them than I already have.

      First step run system restore.
