Using BitLocker in Windows 11 Recovery Mode?

I am currently decrypting a drive that I had BitLocker enabled on. It has been decrypting for going on 24 hrs now and it’s only on 82% complete. I have read on a couple of websites that a way to speed this up is to pause decrypting, boot into recovery mode and resume decrypting in recovery mode, this is supposedly 5x faster then doing it normally. But I can’t seem to find any info on how exactly to do this. How do I get to recovery mode, then resume decrypting the drive? Any helps appreciated, thanks.

interrupting a decryption process mid-stream sounds like a terrible idea to me.
no practical experience mind you, just sounds bad in theory.

and since it’s already at 82%, whats a few more hours.

I used BitLocker many moons ago and remember something similar, turning it off was an over-the-top exercise.
