Installing/Moving Programs to Drive other Then C Drive?

I’m trying to move all of my programs to a different drive. I currently have my OS (Windows 11) and all my programs installed on the same m.2 nvme drive. I want to move all of my programs to my 2nd m.2 nvme so my os and my programs are on separate drives. I was using the 2nd nvme drive as storage but not anymore. Do i have to reformat the 2nd nvme drive or something becuase when i go to Apps the Move option on every app is greyed out. Also for the programs that don’t show the Move option, does that mean I’ll have to uninstall the program from the current drive and reinstall it on the 2nd drive? Any suggestions for a good FREE program that could possibly do that for me? Thanks.

    Hi Brandon
Do you want to move them to another drive to try and gain space?
If yes then the best option is to uninstall all programs then reinstall,Watch the install wizard and when it ask you where to install choose 2nd drive.
    Cheers

yes, thats exactly why. I did try a free trial program AOMEI Partition Assistant that has a feature called App Mover. It worked for some programs, but with other programs like Firefox, it moved it to the other drive but then last night when I tried to watch a movie on HBO Max in Firefox it said it couldn’t play the video, it also said the same thing on Prime Video. I ended up uninstalling Firefox then manually reinstalling it and it works. I haven’t checked every program it moved yet so I guess along the way as I use them i’ll see if it successfully moved them.

Would be quicker and cleaner to remove and reinstall.
Or best option of all backup all data to external or separate internal and reinstall windows and reinstall programs.
Of you reinstall windows it will wipe all programs and data so you would have to make sure you had all data and programs and program serial numbers.
This in my own opinion only would be the best way to go.

        Cheers
