Windows 11 Compatibility etc.

Today I enabled TPM via Bios.
I ran the Windows PC Health Check SetUp and it stated that “This Pc Meets Windows 11 Requirements” (Please see attached pic).

When I go to settings/update and security I see the section on the right hand side indicates that “This Pc doesn’t currently meet all the system requirements for Windows 11.”(Please see attached pic)[ATTACH type=“full” alt=“win 11.jpg”]8466[/ATTACH][ATTACH type=“full” alt=“win 11(2).jpg”]8467[/ATTACH]

I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it, take it with a grain a salt.
I mean, come on, this can’t be the first time you’ve seen a glitch in Microsoft where the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.

I’m hoping as long as your hardware can support TPM, UEFI and Secure Boot, they’ll let Win11 still install but with some sexy new features disabled. but hey, as stated, this is MS.

Thanks for response - understand what you say!

As far as I am aware my system meets the requirements for Win 11.

TPM is enabled - UEFI is enabled - Secure Boot is off at the moment (I Checked with System Information)
(To be honest I couldn’t see any mention of Secure Boot in BIOS)?

With out seeing what your computer specs are was pointing you to where you can see the specifics.
You could have stated the same information by words only.

Like Bruce has stated like we have never seen conflicting information form companies.

Secure Boot needs to be enabled afaik to be compatible with Windows 11.

well I can inform you I installed Win11 on my first PC yesterday.
and yes, the look to me is very Mac like (why they went down that road amazes me) but I have to say, install and subsequent usage is pretty good.
have to get used to where everything lives now but overall, I’d give it a pass mark!

@roger - Secure Boot WILL be in your BIOS menu somewhere.
for me, it only showed up once I change the BIOS setting of Other OS to Windows 8/10, and disabled CSM Support, then under that (mine’s a Gigabyte mobo), Secure Boot showed up.

Hi Bruce,

Eventually found Secure Boot Support in BIOS.

(Settings/Advanced/Windows OS Configuration/Secure Boot/Secure Boot Support.)

Although I don’t know when I might install Win 11, is it perfectly OK to enable Secure Boot Support now?
Presumably Secure Boot Support is not just for Win 11?

Secure boot started being used with Windows 10.
