    Vista installation help.

    Hello,

I have an old hp laptop, that came with Vista. The windows cd/dvd are lost. I still have the product key. However, the laptop had some serious viruses when it was given to me, and so I got someone to try and fix it. When the laptop was returned to me, I realised right away it was now running a pirated copy of Windows 7. Aperantely that was the only way to fix it. Anyhow, this pirated copy is also filled with virus nonsense pop ups, strange backround programs, chromium (odd version of chrome) and other issues. I would like to re format and reinstall Vista. However, can I make a usb version of the Vista cd? It seems like all the tutorials say I need the original cd to make a copy, which I don’t have. And I can’t seem to find any clear info online.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Can you post a copy of all your partitions from disk management I wonder if there is a recovery partition left to recover Vista

No there isn’t. If it did, a new one wasn’t created after the fake windows 7 install. I can’t post it because I’m doing this through my phone. The laptop had too many pop ups and issues to do this on it. Lol sorry.

You can download the iso image if you have the key for it http://allpcworld.com/windows-vista-...32-bit-64-bit/ Note its an untested download

The other thing that you could try is a version of the Linux Operating System.[/COLOR]
