Hi Guy’s. Just want to share a little of my unhappiness with you. Not really unhappy, but definitely sad. I desperately need to get hold of a copy of the free software. OS-UNINSTALLER. Should be easy, all I have to do is download it, make a CD from the download and start using it.. I can’ Let me start from the beginning. I am running Linux Lite with Win XP. A dual boot system. I need to remove Win XP and thats where I come unstuck. Just haven’t been able to do that. Thats why I need OS-UNINSTALLER which I am told is a doddle to use and will do the trick. I hate to winge, but I am suffering from terminal bone cancer and am having to cope with lots of pain and immobility too. Tried to find someone in Hull to give me a few minutes of their time, but there doesn’t seem to be anyone.Even the Hull Linux group are silent. So where do I go and what can I do? Has anyone any ideas? Thanks for reading this guy’s. Regards Walt

Truthfully, I’ve never heard of OS Uninstaller but I have heard of gparted a lot.
Read this, you can do it with gparted. Delete Windows from Linux Mint / Ubuntu Dual-Boot | PCsteps.com
Here are screenshots and a link to download the ISO for gparted

Hi Veeg and Plodr. Nice to meet up with you on here. It is always so good to see a forum come to life.. Had almost given up hope, but not any more . Well I know I cannot do the download for OS-UNINSTALLER and make the required CD, but I am prepared to try and make some sense out of gparted. I seem to remember it being listed in the Linux-Lite files. Tired out now but will try tomorrow. I shall let you know how I get on. Many thanks for giving me some of your time.Regards. WaltrComment

Hi Guy’s. Well, I don’t quite know what I have done here, but I seem to have got rid of Win XP…well almost…I blundered my way through a haze of sleep (I fall asleep at any time, I just have to be me). I also ploughed into the instructions in the screen shots that plodr sent me. Scary? You bet! Anyway it seems like I have managed to arrive at a one os system, at last and I am so thrilled. Managed to sort out the Grub too and that did put a grin on my face. The only thing now is that I have on screen a REMOVEABLE VOLLUME (Not mounted yet) and this contains all the files that I had when using XP. I have tried to delete it, but there seems to be no way of doing that. Maybe if I mounted it and went through the files (hundreds) deleting them one at a time, that would get rid. Any ideas on that? Thanks for being so kind to me. Regards WaltComment

Sorry, I have one dual boot system: Windows 2K and an old version of PCLinux OS. They are on two different hard drives so my setup is not at all like yours. I never considered removing one of the OSes so it isn’t something I’ve ever tackled.
Rather than removing files one at a time, have you tried formatting that part of the hard drive?
