No, the jumper is already on the board you move the current jumper
Did you look at page 15 in the manual? It shows what to do (If in doubt Ask)

I cannot guarantee this will fix the problem.
It is part of standard troubleshooting

If not sure ask
What part are you confused about.
Do not do anything if not sure

This gives you the basic idea of what to look for

Page 15 the 2nd pic shows where to move the jumper to.
Page 15 also shows where the cmos clear is located

The pic in post#13 does not look like the manual linked in post 13
Turn the power off
remove power cord
press on button a couple of times to discharge
remove cmos battery for 10mins
replace battery
power on
test

Hello. Ok this is crazy ( to me ) but that worked ! But a odd thing happened., so it was running great and when I went to turn it off it said not shutting down updating something which I unfortunately let do. When I later turned it back on the screen ( i dont know what you call it ) rate watching video is all choppy. When I went to look for the update there was none on 12/20 2022 for windows update . What looks like did do some type of update under programs called MIcrosoft Edge on that date , but I could have sworn it said windows updates when I looked up at the screen. Anyway whats the best way to rid of what just updated so it works excellent again , it was working so fast and clean and then the stupid update did something bad, Thank you.

Then…

Disable windows update, and only enable it once a week or to update on your terms not whenever microsoft feels you need an update.

Ok , got it thank you. Why did removing the cmos battery and put back bring my computer back to life ? Do laptops have cmos batterys, I have a laptop and and old computer that stopped working , wondering if changing batteries or pulling them would bring it back ? Also it appears the one of the two graphic cards is not seemingly working perfectly as video still seems blocky or slow however you call it .
