the motherboard is a H310M PRO VDH PLUS i7 9700
boot mode is legacy+uefi
there is no secure boot options
nothing’s been changed in the bios for 6 months
and the installation disc has been in use for the last 5 years
many times in this computer ( it works ok on other computers still - tested it )
this has only started to happened today ? ?
the mouse and keyboard work right upto the first form field of
the win7 installation . . . .then its all lights out goodnight vienna
it is a dedicated computer used for music . . preferred o/s is xp but cant get it to install on this i7
win7 32 bit is the next best option since all the software is legacy ( very ) . . win10 (x64) will not perform
as required ( i am on the verge of trying win10x86 ). . .it is not an internet computer . . security is not an issue
i’m an trying to create a dual boot . . . i have created a 2 partition ssd and installed a version
of win7x86 on the first partition . . i am trying install to the 2nd partition but i am getting the issues raised in this thread
